> Send video to 6230 from K700?
Bookmark topic
I recorded a short clip and sent it to my friends 6230. However, all she gets is a black screen for 8 seconds. She sends me clips ok that she took with her phone. Also pics I sent her seem to come out fine so what is wrong here? Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried to run the clip you took on your own phone ? Have you tried to run it on a PC ? If the clip works OK on your K700 and PC, then its something with her 6230. Otherwise I don't know.

Hmm weird, I have the opposite problem. Sent a video to a friend with a 6230 which he can read fine. When he sends me a video, I get a message with a weirdly named attachement, and then another text message from 02 complaining about an unsupported format, even though the video file is 3gp, and is well below the size limit for video messages. In my case, I'm on 02, friend is on vodafone.

OK both of us are on Orange. I BT'd to my PC and the clips work fine. Do u have to set up video messaging like you did with the old MMS on older Orange phones? My MMS messaging worked instantly. This seems odd to me. It's only a short clip too: 91.5KB

Does the K700 have to record video in the lower resolution for it to play on the 6230??

Well I just sent it to a 6600 and it came out fine. As for the resolution thing, the pics from an SE phone come out on Nokias but they have borders I think.

I'm sure someone in another forum mentioned that voda to o2 had a may file size transmission of 25kb! Might be worth investigating :-)

Hmmm... this is disproved by the fact that I sent it to a Nokia 6600 from my K700 and it worked fine! Im still interested in whether anyone else has successfully sent a small vid to a 6230 and had it arrive and work.
Actually, the 6600 I sent it to was on O2 but a vid from the 6230 (Orange) came to my K700 (Orange) and worked but not vice-versa.
