OMG!
Yesterday I gave in my T68 to be upgraded at a Carphone Warehouse service centre.
This morning I put my sim card in my old nokia phone to see if I had any text messages. I got a voice mail from the Carphone warehouse saying that I had to phone them back immediately because of a 'urgent circumstance' involving my handset.
So we ring back and they said that when we gave it in the shop assistant turned his back and the phone was gone from the counter!!!!! A customer stole my freaking phone from the shop! I thought that was the safest place for it!!!!!!
They said they have ordered me a new handset and they will update it to the t68i immediately when they get it. I hope it doesn't take like a week! gggrrgrrrrrr!
I hope they give me a data cable for my inconvenience!!
I'm soo shocked!

thats bad!!carphone warehouse arent doin too well with stolen handsets,about 6-8 weeks ago there was a story in the papers about a customer who was arrested for having a stolen phone that he had brought from cpw only days earlier!!the staffs security and vigilance must be non existant.you should demand a data cable,but try for an MCA 20 first!!

and then give it back to you.

I think I might try for the cam thing...that would be soooooo damn cool!
I doubt if they will give me a £120 accessory for nothing, maybe a data cable if im lucky!
Ill c what they have to say when its ready, I hope I get it tomorrow or Saturday!

They got you a new phone, they could have easily told you thay it was stolen when it was at the front desk not when it's inside.
You could have ended up with no phone insted of mms phone after a week.

And make sure you report your phone stolen to your service provider, hope you know the imei number, you can get it blocked that'll teach them for stealing it

Hmmm wasnt that just what Chaindog wrote?? That the CPW will get him a new phone? Or is it me that been in the sun for to long
He never mentioned anything bout the Store trying to get his phone back!!!
