> Dilemma over which k700 package is better
Bookmark topic
I have an Orange p800 at the moment. Its size and temperamental battery made me think I'd move to a smaller phone for general use. I like SE phones and although I thought about waiting for the S700, I decided to go for the k700. After reading your comments about Orange's butchery of menus (I like that 'More' one), I went for an O2 online 200 one.
I've recently got a laptop (Powerbook) and although while I've been out, I've been using wifi to connect. I'm wondering whether I should try to connect using GPRS over the phone. I'd probably only do this a few times a year since generally I can access web at home and work (hence barely using p800's web functionality) and don't take the PB out with me that often.
Hence the dilemma - get Orange to upgrade me and keep my Open Access at £4 but get their annoying phone (Orange's lack of interest in useful firmware updates also bugged me) or keep the O2 one that's just arrived and keep using wi-fi? I've read about O2's free GPRS proxy but have no idea how to use it. I know I could use their normal £2.35 MB one but to be honest, I think wi-fi would be cheaper!
