Hi, I'm thinking of buying a K700i and I would like to know if it's possible to set a limit of downloaded emails when using the client on the phone.
What I mean is this. Say you have 500 mails on your account...and you want to check for new emails. I don't want the phone to download the whole mailboz...but maybe only 10 messages at the time. It's possible to do in that way?

no, there is no setting for that. you can only choose to have header only or header and text
I just created 30 emails for myself and it happily downloaded them all so not sure exactly what limit, if any, there is to how many it will download

Yes, you can only download the unread e-mails of your inbox.
About the limit, it depends on the total of free memory of the phone. In other way, it's unlimited.
