Hello just a newbie here!!! just wondering what os is the k700i...ive had a p800 with the symbian os and was wondering what the k700i is???

It is not an os, just an interface, you cant install anything other than what is already in the phone on the phone

Behind the UI there is always an OS. The fact, you can not install own applications (beside Java) does not change that. In this case, this is an SE specific OS not comercially available to other vendors.

yeah, have to agree with you there, but what people informally call an os in mobile phones is something that you can really customize like smartphones. The k700 is just java based. by the way, what java applications can be installed?
