Got the the Orange k700 - Excellent phone apart from the orange customisation and its the same on Voda - Does anyone know how to get rid of the Orange Icons - Their was this 12.5 or 28.5 second trick after a master reset for the t610- But its risky and i dont know if it would work on the k700 ? - Your Thoughts Please Gents

I also am really annoyed at Oranges attempt at customising the phone. But all is not lost. I rang carphone warehouse in uk and they said that when they get the 'generic' software then i can just go for a wander in and they will update my firmware.
Only problem is they dont have it yet and it may be 3 - 4 weeks yet...

Yeah i heard the same thing from MobileXchange in London - But apprently it costs quite a bit - So they have to make the decision whether its cost effective. So question is Does ANYBODY know who has a the Origianl/Genric Firmware ? Please let me know - My phone is so Orange I feel like I,VE JUST BEEN TANGOED.

Hmmm yeah my wife and I have just got k700i and whilst great, the orange "customization" sucks so much arse it is unreal...
Has anyone had the phone reset to generic yet? if so, are shortcuts back?
Is the annoying way to reply to sms messages back to "normal" ??
Many thanks.

Hmmm what about a PC tool that lets you edit the shortcuts directly? is there such a thing?

little knowledge: i have no idea what a market stool is
and you're right, somebody's hacked their way to bypassing the RSA apparently. I've not heard a single reoport from anybody succesfully debranding their phone that way yet though...... apart from you but perhaps your 'market stool' used a different method eh?
