Could be wrong, but I get the small blue diamond for some applications on my P800.
It's usually because the designer hasn't made any icon for the app.
The blue diamond is Sony default for apps with no icon.
Wouldn't say the K700 is a waste of money. But it depends what you want from a phone I guess.

How does the look of the icons relate to the topic name? What is your actual question? And does the K700 know how to handle .sis files? I thought those were for symbian os?

Sis files are installation files for Symbian OS'es PX000 and Nokia's Series 60. K700i doesn't support them.
Jad files are java apps installation files and Jar files are the actual java apps.
The diamond is a generic icon for java apps.
Hope it's clear now...

Maybe those jar files are not intended for your phone (trying to get some resources that are not available).
I getting to the conclusion that you're trying to use Symbian apps in your K700, am i right?

Although in all probability not ALL .jar files work on it ;-) and like Krubach, I suspect that that is the cause of the problem ;-)
