Is it possible to create shortcuts for my phone in the Windows 'Send To' directory?

It would be so much simpler than going through the rigmarole of opening up windows explaorer, locating the source file, copying it to My Phone.

I can't find any option to create a shortcut in windows, but if it can appear in the explorer like any other directory, it must be possible to link to it somehow.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, I'm using bluetooth to send files from my PC to my phone and all I have to do is right click --> send to --> bluetooth --> my phone. Well I'm not actually doing it this way anymore cos I prefer File Manager.

I use the USB cable/cradle, which doesn't give you that option.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep on using file manager.

even if there was a way to apply a "send to" shortcut it would probably work the same way as BT. Everything would be sent to one folder (the beamed folder for BT, provided you have enough space on the c drive) and then you'd have to move it some place else on your phone. not very time saving.

@Jabe, not really
As far as I understand the windows shell
It is possible to have a sent to item for every file which will have the same effect as dragging that file to My P900 icon. This can be achieved by modifying the registry and/or writing a small app.

I will look into this once I get some free time, maybe I can do this if no one else has already done it

yes, but wouldn't then all types of files be sent to the same location. and then you would still have to put for example mp3 to audio folder, pics to images and so on. unless i'm totally misunderstanding what you're saying.

@a_p_a_n_d_e_y
I'm pleased to hear you think it is possible.
Wish I knew a little more about the Window's OS so I could try myself.

@Jabe
If you use the usb cable (SyncStation) and drag a file onto the My P900 in windows explorer, the file goes into a different folder depending on what it is. Like mp3 goes into audio->unfiled, unknown types go to documents->unfiled.

I believe this should be possible, if the shell extension that SE adds to windows explorer is a standard one. But I will only know when I get some time to work on this.
