Those of you who have/had P800/900 and those who are thinking of getting a new smartphone which on will you choose?I'm asking this question because one my friend is going in Sweden and he'll come back in BG for New Year (December) so I want him to bring me from there a phone and I should tell him now what will it be.I am choseing from P910 and Nokia 9500,which one is better? On one hand I am going for 9500 (WLAN,MMC,640x200,65K),but on the other hand I am going for the P910 (MSDP,208x320,262K) and P910 is a way smaller than 9500.Maybe it'll be the phone!?!

Why not wait until both the 9500 and P910 are available in the shops and have a look at them both. In general, you should think about what you want from a device. For example, I have P900 and a Sony Clie TH55. I have two devices because I needed more screen space for PIM functions for my work and I thought WiFi would also be useful (TH55 features). What I have found is that there are very few WiFi hotspots in the Uk and they cost a lot anyway. But I also found to my surprise the MP3 player on the TH55 is fantastic - the sound quality that is. So the lessons are:

1. Think about your requirements. Do you want a phone (P9xx) primarily, a portable office (9500 or P9xxx with a BT keyboard), or do you want a flash toy (9500). Now even though you think you know what you want you wont really know until you own and use a device!

2. Once you own a device, you'll find it has features you didn't about and they are really useful.

Now, for me the main benefits of the P900 is that it works as a phone really well - reasonable size, good sound quality and nice ergonomics (buttons, screen functions and jog dial). Also Opera on the P900 is a killer app and on the P910 it will be even better with all that extra RAM.

I hope that helps!

Jah

Thanks for the reply

I had P900 and I have sold it.Now I want new phone.I will use it for WEB browsing snd I think 9500 is better, because I can share my Internet Connection via WLAN and it's killer then.I want it for MP4 and video too.I have T630 for my secondary phone and now it's my primary. Now it's time to change it too, maybe for K700.So you see I have 2 phones one small, comfortable and the other one should br hi-tech.

Yeah, you're right, because most of the people here are lovers. But now I want to see which one is better. And of course how Jah said the two devices have their priorities.

P910 would be my answer, coz of it's size, screen, Duo PRO support, and... and........ above all else, TOUCH SCREEN!

I wouldn't totally discount MS based "Smartphones"... The XDA 3 sounds like a nice upgrade to an already competent device... with it's sliding keyboard, it may finally be enough to shake the moniker of pda with phone stuck on... for me anyway, the XDA and XDA 2 were awkward phones, moreso where text mesaging was concerned, but the features they offer for phone calls would probably be enough for most... The p900 won me over as it had a useful keypad, and so could be use more easily whilst out an about... This I feel allowed it to be referred to as a "phone with a pda", but to me both devices are phones and pdas together... though perhaps this is down to my basic view that they can both make phone calls and both be a glorified diary too - each can better the other, which is fitting since they are built to compete in similar markets...

I got a p900 and would sugest you to take a look on Nokias 9500. The P900 is great for me but i think that 9500 is a killer if you can take the zise, i wont...

I would say MPx if it didnt have Microsoft OS I think its a great phone. As for the next one, the P910 look best Familiar software and stuff. Just my opinion. Personally Im going for the S700. K700 got me loving small (-er) phones again.
