I think it's a pain in the arse putting the headphones in to use the radio. Would any of you Java wizards be able to develop a radio application; one that would run without headphones and play on the loudspeaker? Is this technically possible?
I know it uses the headphone lead as an aerial but you should get a half decent signal without it.

I have no idea. Tall buildings? Not really that bothered... radio was a novelty for a couple of days but the earphones are so uncomfortable I've given up.

The best way to improve the signal is to pull the lead in a long line, dont curl it up or the signal starts to crackle in poor areas.
Besides, would you really use the K700 as a radio with the loudspeaker all the time ? i know i wouldnt, its just not loud enough. So the fact it needs the headphones attached to receive FM makes no difference to me.
