i hope i can explain it to you, cuz my english isn't good
so, if you compose a mail you can attach a file (like Blabla.jpg) if you send this mail to your self, and look at sent mails you can see the mail with the attached file (blabla.jpg) just make a right click with the mouse to the ''view'' button and copy the url and paste it here, like this:
Can you see the picture ???

As the images are stored in a 'private' password protected space (the email account) it would appear rather strange if anybody NOT signed in to said account could still view the images!
