every time i switch on the phone, it gives a message "not found". whats the reason for this?

I don't know if UIQ has a boot log file (had a quick look with sman) as thats the key here. Have you been deleting any files using a filemanager such as sman?

no..i didn't delete anything..but was installing some programs when this happened. dunno which has created the problem..i have already uninstlalled the apps that i have installed to my p900. but still the problem persists..i think the only way i can get around with this problem is to do a master reset right..?

do a back-up and a master reset. you can't really loose anything, except an hour of your life if it doesn't work.
