Their is one called IM+ and it works on a variety of phones. Unfortunately it will set you back £9.99 but I have tried the demo and it is very good considering.

Why don't you use the one built into the phone? Messages, My Friends.
I am currently using the service provided by
www.yamigo.com which is free, but survives on donations.

I know you did ask for a messenger client but i think this wap page is worth a mention:
wap.e-messenger.net
its a free wap version of msn messenger, which i find useful as i get free wap included with my contract.

Are you looking for URLs like
http://wap.yahoo.com or are you looking for services to connect to via the phone's built-in IM client?
As part of the Wireless Village initiative some operators like Vodafone use the phone's built-in client and offer their own IM services.

personally i was looking for a client for the phone rather than a wap service.
unfortunately pests like orange uk customise the phone and have removed myfriends, amongst other useful things. probably so they don't lose out on sms revenue or something
