> i cant back up!

ok iv asked loads of ppl including massure,
so this is my last, and i mean last hope
then i try to backup or restore it says my p900 is not conected,
BUT IT IS!!!!!!!!
the green light on the sync station is on
im running xp and my pc suite is 1.12.1.1
please help me
what pc suite is every 1 that can backup using?
and were do i get it from??

I'm running the same version of OS and PC Suite.
Does the icon on your task bar show you as connected?
Can you synchronise?
Can you browse your phone?
I've had a similar problems in the past and I needed to reboot my lappy with NO PHONE in the base ( icon show not connected)
power off the lappy, connect the phone to the base and boot my my lappy and all OK.

I always keep my pc as clean as possible and don't try software where I have no knowledge of its origins or if it is from a dubious source. I have installed pc suite on probably half a dozen pc's and never experienced this problem or the similar one where you can sync but "my p900" says the phone is not connected
I currently have installed on my laptop the pc suites for T630, K700 and P900 and all work perfectly
my point is that I doubt very much that
will help you with this and maybe if you have been installing all sorts on your pc its time to get out the recovery disk and reset your pc back to standard and install only the things you want and need, including pc suite. I did this a month ago after upgrading my 1 year old vaio laptop from 40gb to 80gb and again pc suite installed and functioned perfectly first time.

In fact, the only problem I have seen with my setup is creating a bluetooth connection sometimes. Sometimes I have to check / uncheck the serial port listed for BT to get the (-/\/-) icon show me connected. Never had a problem with cable or IR though

since getting a billionton bluetooth dongle (for around 17 pounds on ebay) I haven't experienced any bluetooth problems at all, even with the k700. I am much more impressed by bluetooth than I was with my old Sony BA1 bluetooth dongle
perhaps an answer here is to BT or IR for the backup instead of the sync station
