Is there any way to download text messages from my inbox/ sent mail/ sim archive onto my mac...?

Both require a Bluetooth connection.

Or you can use GSM Remote with a RS-232 data cable and a Keyspan RS-232 to USB adapter (there's no USB data cable drivers for Mac).
