Hi.
I'm having a problem with IrDA on a laptop and my T68i. Firstly they connect, but in a matter of seconds, the connection is lost (the laptop starts to search for a IrDA again) and it happens every couple of seconds. Can anyone help me?

(PS: I'd like to know which software do i need besides the one on CD provided with T68i to transfer files and to sync)

i had this problem too but i uses R520m. as time goes things go from bad to worse. i can only sync my contact and nothing else. then after i install a few more softwares which my comp hang, the phone doesn't sync anymore. and even the irda can't hold connection properly.

as my system become more and more unstable. i reformat my harddisk and reinstall all the stuff i need. after that my phone works flawlessly. evertyinhg is perfect. sync outlook, backup phone, picture editing, even dial up also perfect.

so conclusion is the window problem.

So you recommend Windows reinstall?
I can try, perhaps it'll work.

Which programs do you use to send files from PC to T68i?

I saw that there are options for IrDA in PC's BIOS, so if anyone know how it has to be set to work with T68i please tell me.

set it to SIR (serial infrared) and lower the speed until you get a stable connection. also, upgrade you mobile phone monitor to version r4a. check the sticky post in the software section of the esato forum.
