> No sound on my P800! Help!
Bookmark topic
Since last week, for no apparent reason, my P800 always stops to ring and cannot play MP3s after some time of use. The speaker itself is ok, because I can always hear the clicks.
When this happen, I have to turn it off and wait approximately 1 or 2 hours and when I turn it on again, everything works perfectly again.
I've already tried everything: did a hard reset, formatted the internal disk, but my phone just make no ring tone after a random period, even if I don't use the phone at all.
Does anyone have or had a similar problem? Please help me!
Here is my P800 sw versions:

So, when you boot-up the phone and use it (assuming the sounds were playing ok at that time), and then after a few hours/minutes, the sound events stop playing? You do have your multimedia volume up don't you?

Yes, it happens exactly as described. And when I turn off the phone, it doesn't make the characteristic sound with the SE logo.
When I try to play a MP3 file with the native Audio Player, the music just doesn't play and stays at 0:00.
I have also OggPlay, and when I try to play a OGG file, it gives me a error number -29.
Does anyone has a clue for this problem or I'll have to get my phone repaired?

I've never heard of anything like that, it sounds like you should get someone to take a look at it.

Yeah, I agree. Try to have a technician look at it.
