Bookmark topic
I've just uploaded a theme on Esato's K700 section, and I seem to be having problems with the preview images.
This is the image as it shows up on my computer on the Theme Creator software, after reopening the theme again the images are all still there.
Looks normal, right?
Then when I go to the Esato upload section and upload the .thm file, it is my understanding that the site extracts the preview from thye xml file.
But it doesn't quite look the same
And since I do not have a K700, I cannot be sure the theme creator I used (by lasyk) is the problem or Esato's upload extracts no images anymore.
Any thoughts??
Laffen?

The theme is just fine.
Seems like it is something wrong with the upload script when generating the preview image.
I don't think this theme will make it to the public area. I won't risk having Marvel's attorneys on my back.
BTW. I did not know TCP supported K700 themes

ok hadn't thought of the copyright. Most images are fan-art though, not the original comics, but that probably won't matter too much.
TCP does not support K700 but they have a beta java program out for K700 themes, which I thought I should try
Thanks for letting me know

I found the error and have corrected it. It seems like the theme you uploaded was edited by hand, or that the theme editor you used not stripped out the directory path from the filename.
The XML source contained this information about the background image:
<Background_image Source="Program Files/SESoftware/K700 Themes/FantasticFour/menubg.jpg"/>
The tar (thm) file was created with "Save full path info". This theme worked fine on the K700 but I don't think the official

theme creator would have saved the thm file with full path info.
Anyway. I have modified the K700 upload script, so it doesn't matter any more.

@TheRealSpawn
The extraction of the creator info has always been there. I just forgot to tell you about it. Not many themers modify the themes by hand, but you and Vlammetje do.

I never did actually, on the lasyk theme creator there is a field for 'author'
I know why it saves the full path as well, it's created a separate folder containing all the images when I saved the theme
Time for a minor feedback session me thinks
