This is prob the closest we will ever get to the death star.this is real guys.
Soon after going into orbit around Saturn, the Cassini space probe returned its best look yet at the heavily cratered moon Mimas (which has a diameter of 398 kilometers, 247 miles across). The enormous crater at the top of this image, named Herschel, is about 130 kilometers (80 miles) wide and 10 kilometers (6 miles) deep, and has earned Mimas the nickname “The Death Star”.

Cool pic! I'm looking forward to seeing what the Cassini probe beams back, and all the fascinating info that it will give us too.
It's a shame I can't see that through my telescope!
I've been wanting to go have a gaze at the stars for a while now and it's always bloody cloudy!!
Hey, there's a thought, are there any other astronomers here on Esato?

I am not an astronomer but i love astronomy and spend most of my nights star gazing. (Except when she's with me!) Now its monsoon here so i prefer her to the stars! :-D
