The P900/910 is a PDA phone mainly directed at the businessman. I have seen many people use their P900 just to make calls, play games and take some pictures. How many of you P900 and prospective 910 owners really need these phones. For young guys the brilliant K700 should be enough. What do you think? This message was posted from a WAP device

yes this is true, but the p900 has the *wow* factor touch screen which is enough to impress most plebs, while the k700, good as it is, just looks like an ordinary phone. I got the p800 and p900 because i wanted the latest and greatest, functionality never even entered my head to be honest. I just wanted the best and thats what i've got. I do use a lot of the functions, but i probably dont NEED to.

I'm 24 yrs old and a computer programmer... well, I don't exactly *need* the P900; but I liked it from the first time I heard someone talking about it. After a long time I bought it and I can tell that I am using almost every single function in it. Of course, I don't need it to the bone, but who does?
cheers!

Well, for me the p900 is more of a "luxury" than an absolute necessity. It's just more practical having all the features available in one device & only needing to carry around one gadget. I use mine half for business use & half for pleasure / recreational. Having the touchscreen & stylus speeds up emailing & messaging, especially with the availability of "cut & paste" where i can easily transfer data from anywhere on the phone to anywhere else in seconds. I'm a carpenter by trade & having this type of phone is very very useful on-site, since i rely heavily on mobile email for my business. It offers customers, especially those in offices, a cheap alternative to calling my mobile during peak times. I also use the camera a lot to take "before & after" snapshots of my work. In short, the main advantages of using the p900 over the k700 for me are: touchscreen & onscreen keyboard (ease of use), ability to view different file formats & greater memory (Mem Stick Duos) This message was posted from a P900

Thx guys for responding and expressing your views. Please do not misunderstand me. I am not saying anyone should buy something only if you need it. I was trying to say, why waste a great phone like the P900 if afterall you are not gonna use all its features? But its good for SE! This message was posted from a WAP device

They are both great phones, but after having a p900 i feel a k700 is a step backwards, i could never change to one. My brother has a k700 so i do know how good it is, its an excellent phone but i love my p900!

whizkid, the beauty of the P-series is the fact that you can use it ANY WAY YOU WANT!!!!

It can be a gaming machine... an audio player... a movie player... a business tool... a toy... all depends on what software you have on it!

That's like saying, "Why would anyone waste a Pentium 4 on games and surfing useless sites like Esato! They should just all be doing CAD work, and encoding"

It's yours to do with as you please!
