hi all. I just bought a 128 mb Memory Stick, and I started copying mp3 files into the phone, but... it is sooo slow!! it takes up to 5 minutes to copy a 4 megabytes file!
at first, I configured the P900 as described in the manual, but then I boosted the port speed to the maximum value, to hopefully increase the speed rate, but it didn't work. I also changed the settings for the virtual COM port associated to the SyncStation in my computer, boosting the port speed to the max. The speed rate hasn't changed.
The question is, is this the average speed for this type of connection/for the P900 phone? or do I have to change something in the phone or PC's setups?
suggestion and comments are welcome...
thanks in advance!!

unfortunately it is slow compared with BT or IR
here are some previous threads with the same complaint
BT is the way to go these days IMHO

thanks masseur. I'm going to have a look at those posts.
anyway, I've also tried to connect my P900 with my personal computer using a BT dongle, but the speed rate ranges from 20 to 30 Kbps... it's nothing compared to the maximum potential speed (700 kbps, if I remember well)! what's wrong?
PS: I looked at those posts... it seems I'll have to buy a memory stick reader to transfer files at a decent speed. this is indeed a weak point for the P900, since connectivity should be a "state of the art" feature in PDAs.
thanks again
