The Bluetooth SIG today announced the appointment of David Hasselhoff as the next spokesperson for Bluetooth in Germany.

"The Germans love David Hasselhoff, and we plan to use his mass market appeal in Germany to broaden the support for Bluetooth Wireless Technology."

The first Bluetooth media event is being coordinated by rap legend Ice-T and will promote Hasselhoff as "Hassle the Hoff".

"The Hoff meister is no stranger to the music industry having conquered Germany through his soft rock skills."

I can just see David bluejacking people in the nearest shopping centre!

Knight Rider was one of my favourite programmes when I was a kid too - I've heard they're making a film of it - with DH playing Knight!
