Hey guyz,
I've heard from
John99 that firmware R6A is available for P900... I couldnt find it for my CDA. any1 who did?

Interesting.. The site is not showing that it's available for any CDA at all. If it is in deed a new release it may be on the server and not yet available through the online service. That is what I usually see happen. The online service doesn't push it out as fast as the server does.

R6B002 is the CDA version, not the organizer version!
The organizer version is R5B02, which is displayed when you go to the sonyericsson update site.

That makes no sense?? CDAs should be in the order of 162003/x - as illustrated in this pic taken from my phone. SE has only been listing organiser updates. There is nothing else in the CDA that would warrant an upgrade. I thought it was all regional information and sorts.. So I'm not sure what you're getting at here. We already know what these parameters mean.

Can you please explain the R5A07 written next to CDA 162003/3 in the pic you posted?
SE ideally can release an update to any component of firmware. Mostly it has been organizer so far, but it can as well be CDA or Bluetooth.

Mine is CDA162004/43 on the Fido/Microcell network.
When I attempted to do a manual update, the web site said R2B was the latest, so I updated anyways.
To my surprise after the update my firmware was updated to the following:
CDA162004/43 R6A02
Organizer CXC162021 R5B02
Bluetooth CXC12529 R5D
Phone CXC162022 R3D011
Not sure if it's a bug in the sony update site, but my P900 was updated. (Mind you I had to copy my contacts from SIM to the phone again, as the ones on the phone were corrupt for some reason!)

the CDA is a seperate part in the pphone that can be flashed, someone correct me if i am wrong but i believe it contains personal features, and customizations.

Yes, as per my knowledge
CDA, Organizer, Bluetooth and Phone are all separately flashable components
