> k700- Rough Screen?
Bookmark topic
hi guys, got my k700 yesterday and i love it to bits, i have the r2a firmware but its not a big issue, i will get an update as soon as poss... what is concerning me is the screen. my k700 seems to look strange, like theres a lot of fingerprints or something, its hard to explain, almost like the other side of the screen protection is a rough serface, it cannot always be seen but sometimes makes the display look a little different... is this something every model has?
thanks in advance tommac

Its perfectly normal. That roughness is caused by the material that the case is made from. Ive had it with phones and other LCD devices in the past, i dont know why its like that though, it must offer some sort of advantage to the user. Such as being able to view the screen in all conditions.

??????????
I have absolutely no grayniness or roughness no matter what angle I view the screen from.
Naturally as with all lcd displays the viewingangle changes the image - making it more difficult to see the image - but its definately not grayny or rough looking.
My screen has like a completely seethrough glass surface - and its perfectly clear from all angles - except that it gets more and more difficult to see the image the more you angle it.

Its the case window itself thats rough, not the actual LCD screen.
Please lets not turn this into another K700i moan.. ive had other phones with the same 'characteristic', its not a problem at all.

My k700 is a bit like that to. It looks kinda dirty. Not if i have a black layout or something, but when it's white it looks a bit weird. Can it be the pixels i'm seeing or is dirty on the inside.

What do you need a SE service centre for ? SE will just tell you the same, its part of the phone, not something that can be fixed since it aint broke'.
Kem, read the previous posts, its not dirt.
