Hey. Im decided to get a s700 and Id like to know if it will be possible to run nokia series 60 or 40 apps on it? It has java MIDP 2 not symbian, but some java programs are realy good. I heard it will be possible but i want to be 100% sure. What about screen resolution-will apps be shown in fullscreen? If anyone knows... This message was posted from a WAP device

S700 is not even out yet until the last quarter of this year.

S60 apps wont work on the phone, but Nokia Java games probably will.

Most Java games work on most Java phones, but apps wont unless they're in Java. Nokia S60 phones can have games or apps made for them in either Java or coded specially for S60 phones.

Since no SE phone is a S60 (the closest to a S60 is the UIQ P800 & P900) no game or app made for S60 will work on a SE phone.

*.class are java as well, they should be in the *.jar file. you can open a *.jar file with winrar and have a look inside

My guess is if you "rar" a .class file and rename the rar file to jar then you'll be able to install it, unless i'm very much mistaken... (@masseur )
