I apoligize if im in the wrong section as i cant seem to get used to this place. 1st post.
I am having big problems at the moment. I have a z600 and i want to move to either the nokia 6230 or the k700. Now i know which one i want more. The k700.
Tho i cant find hard evidence on how much memory the k700 has. Ive heard that the k700i and the k700 are different. The k700 only having 32mg memory while the k700i has 41mg. But ive also found many places which didnt know what they were chattin about, which is why im soo confused. People proberly havnt had issues with this cuz both models have alot of memory. For me i want to use it as an mp3 as my ipod is on its way out. Ive had it nearly 18 months and wud much prefere just to get mp3 on phone. Yes i know 1000's of songs too 9 max.
I want the k700i alot more then the nokia 6230 cuz 'small screen, presentation aint quite as nice.' Does anyone acctually have the k700/k700i and can tell me how much memory they have and where they got it from.

Firstly because I've got one & second because SE advertise the fact.
It was originally planned to have 32MB, in fact it says 32MB on my box but it was upgraded.

Just one other thing, why do other people who havethe phone say that they have 32mg on there phone??

K700i is the international model
K700c is the Chinese model

^ this is what confused me the most... that and ppl on ebay. Some say 32mg and other said 41mg. Atleast we know which ebayers lie when they say, Never been used or opened.

ps - where did you buy yours from??... shop sales man/women say that it was only 32 mg but i never believe them as they just try to sell the most expensive phone.

By the way, I've encoded some MP3s at lower bit rate and got 14 songs into 30MB and they still sound ok so you can get more than 9 songs on a K700

Do you know other people with the k700/k700i/k700c??

The sales person will only be reading what is on the box, and like @MikLSP said the box displays the wrong info (was probably desgined before the phone was upgraded). Most sales people in phone shops have little knowledge of the products as they would have used very few of them + they will push for the phone with the highest profit margin.
Try looking at expansys.com and mphone.co.uk, or you could get the phone for free on contract from O2 online site. But don't get it on Vodaphone live!

1 other thing which i cant explain is... my bro went to 3 phone places, carphonewarehouse, phones4u and 'the link. I think it was in phones4you, this guy was trying to sell my bro the k700 and my brother asked how much mem it had he turned around and said 'it has 32 mg of memory u know how i know?? cuz i have 1'
Was he only tryin to sell the phone then??

My songs are indeed about 2MB but they really don't sound bad. Obviously they're worse than huge files but good enough for me while walking etc. I get over 60 songs on a 128MB Duo for my P900
I would recommend buyin a K700 from someone on the Esato Market & don't forget to check the link in my signature for trusted sellers
That last story just proves my old arguement of Phones4U staff being brainless morons with just 'Must sell contracts' in their head!
