Problem:
Best phone displays have a resolution of 240x320.
Worst computer displays are nowadays 1024x768 (OK, OK you can still find some 800x600).
You would only see a very small portion of the picture on the phone.
Also, BT is not fast enough to refresh the phone display in real time. You would have a time lag of several tens of seconds, if not more.
And finally, BT has a range of about 10 meters, if nothing obstructs. What would be the interest in having a tiny screen showing only a small part of the picture just next to the original PC screen?
So, the answer is definitely NO.

it was a longshot especially with a T610!. maybe with P9? bigger screen and better bluetooth implementation right? maybe not...

It would be nice though! Just think about it...

You can do it with a PocketPC or a Palm over GPRS actually, so the idea isn't so farfetched. Doing with anything slower than WLAN is a pain and the small screen doesn't help, but it is actually possible.

I don't see a big problem doing it with a P900 if the proper software was available.

Bluetooth on phones is too slow, as has been mentioned. Ever seen a 1024x768 picture on your phone? Maybe you can do it on the newer phones, but most phones just don't have the capability or connection to do it. The only thing that might work is a screenshot :-l This message was posted from a T610

my bluetooth dongle says it can transfer up to 723kb/s which is imho fast enuff! so y cant they just make the fones transfer rates as high
But i suppose its getting better. my t610 can transfer up to 5.7kb/s but ive read that the k700 can transfer up to 25kb/s. mayba S700 could transfer 125kb/s or something...

Here's what I want to know is why you would want to view your pc display through your phone. Surely, had your question been 'can I use pc application x' I would've followed but use the app on your pc while viewing on your phone??? Why? This message was posted from a Z600
