Have you got any anti-virus / firewall programs running?

I've had problems upgrading from the site for nearly 2 months now. Am now still waiting (3 weeks and counting) for my P900 to be returned from manufacturer.

I tried to update, too. Phone froze. Needed to go in for repair. My recommendation don't update over the internet.

Thats the same reason I had to send mine in for repair. Everything just started to freeze up and stop working.

Wont be trying any online updates again thats for sure.

@zopps

That thread was exactly what I followed. I checked out that thread after the second failed time I tried updating. Majority of the problems started since following those instructions.

I repeated what I did the first time.

Uninstalled the SE update software.

Uninstalled Java Runtime.

Reinstalled Java Runtime.

SE update site asked me to download software again.

Reinstalled SE update software.

Got this message:

Preparations completed
Application starting...

The application will soon open in a separate window.

Program started up OK and got this screen:

No problems during any of the browser interaction. Do you have a pop-up blocker installed? I use the google toolbar and turn that off before running this.
