> SE Firmware Upgrade At Service Centers
Bookmark topic
I just found out that there are 2 centers near me: one which i go past every day to school and the other in town which i got to at least every month. They said to take my proof of purchase and imei number and then i can get my firmware upgraded on my phone for free.
the firmware version on my k700i is "r2a041" and then it says "prgcxc 12582 1_eu_1_c" underneath it.
Is there a new firmware that i can upgrade to or do i have the latest?
thanks
p.s. is there a page on the SE website that tells you the latest firmware version?

If you were to do a search, you would find that Cytech has answered this question. There is a new release for your phone.

thanks for the reply. i did search the forum but none of the firmware codes seemed to make sense to me if the were new or just for different countries :S
I am going to take my phone to the SE center asap but i was wondering will i loose al of the data on my phone after the upgrade?
thanks again

According to reports, people are not loosing their info during the upgrade, though SE recommends you always make a backup before you upgrade.
