Anyone know how to do this when editing contacts?

I think if you select text by pressing the volume down and joystick left or right, and then pressing either one, two or three will copy, cut or paste. Im not sure if it works for contacts.

OK I figured out how to highlight by holding volume up or down & pressing joystick left or joystick down but pressing 1,2 or 3 doesn't seem to do anything so how do u actually copy & paste?
If I hold volume down & press joystick right it produces a 'p'
If I hold volume up & press joystick right it produces 'kip'

Yeah, the text selection trick works. There must be some way of copying, unless there would be no point in being able to select the text.
On T610 you could hold down * and press 1,2 or 3 to cut, copy and paste respectively. This was handy for copying numbers in contacts.
