I feel the need to defend on my beloved SE phones. I agree on the fact that when u put a nokia and se phone side by side in a weak signal area. Nokia tends to have more bars on the reception. But once u start making a call, the signal bars drops to minimal. As for se the signal bars remained constant throughout. So, don't be fooled by the mere appearance fm nokia. I think this issue has been discussed b4. Just a reminder 2 those who still kept raving bout nokia \"good\" signal strengh.

the problem with

is that sometimes the signal is dropped. for example on my old t300 it used to show "sos calls only" on the screen sometimes when other phones didnt do that

And either way, I don't think the actual signal strength can be mesured by looking at the bars. To do a real test you got to have proper equipment..

I always think the best indication is call quality that is can you hear person well and can they hear you well. Signal bars are just indications of whether you can make a call or not. Having owned both nokia and se i find nokia slightly better. However tried the k700 the other day and found it on par with my 6600 in call quality so se looks to have improved it once again
