Hi.

I'm confused, some says the S700 gonna support MS Pro Duo
and some says its just gonna be Duo (Not Pro Duo).

I checked here on Esato at the "Mobile phones" section and at the Functions Table It says "Up to 1 GB" on external memory.

Does it mean its gonna be an MS Pro Duo?

How come Esato is the only place that claims that its gonna be pro?

Thx !

I've read the white paper which states that it will only use regular duos, upto 128MB.

If you check a post i posted months ago, I said that in the video from the sony rep that is on this very site, he him self says that there is a 1GB mem stick slot, no mention of anything else. So as I said then, I will say now, wait and see

the problem here really is the long lead time from announcement to it being available. There has only been one version of the white paper so far and that was published at the beginning of may, i.e. 3 months ago.

from that we can see that the initial intention is to support duo only but it may well happen, as it did with the K700, that various features change by production time so yes, its a wait and see game

The down side to the phone if it did support duo pro sticks would be the price of the duo pro's themselves.

I can imagine a 1GB duo pro costing just as much as the S700 sim free !
