I got some serious problem.
The other day i received a call from a friend of mine, everything was OK. His name appeared on the screen, i talked to him, but then when i hung up something strange happened:
The phone asked me if i wanted to store the number!!??!?!
I thought "What the heck?!!??! I have is number stored already!"
And then i saw it: ALL MY CONTACTS DISAPPEARED. The phonebook list is completely empty!!!
My problem is that the last backup was made a few weeks ago, and i already putted some new numbers.
Is there any way that i can recover all the contacts? Some sort of "backup copy" stored in the phone?
Thanks a lot.

no auto backups in the phone I'm afraid... if you are not syncing with anything then it really is down to the manual effort of using the cradle to backup once in a while and/or keep a copy on the sim

Oh, well...
Nothing to do about it then...
But how can a whole phonebook disappear during a call?
I mean when the call started the phonebook was there and then...kaput!
As M$ would say: "This is not a bug. This is a feature."

Hi,
I had this problem many times. This is a bug from SE.
Example - Get 2 sim cards, change tham around a few times and woohaa no phone book. Or some time even after few power off and on its gone.
There is no way to restore it, but restore/backup.
Name of this person you probably got from history. Phone keep traks of names called. So if you delite original card, in history number will still be with the name.
SO.... you can use your history to get back some of lost numbes.
Another advice. If you can't backup phone all the time with pc, do next.
Go to phone book>folder ALL>contacts>send this folder>your email>Send it to your self or using file browser find this ALL.vcf(vCard dont remember) if chipper then GPRS trafic> then save it on memory stick.
Next time you pb down file browser>open file> got all contacts just need to put them in right folders
Hope It help.
