> K700 - clock screensaver - ugly?

There are many posts here asking how to enable the clock screensaver on the K700.
I've figured that out.
But now I'm wondering if it's really meant to appear as it does on my phone, as I think it looks totally ugly...
I get these big chunky numerals that initially appear butted up against the top edge of the screen, right justified.
Then, after a minute or so, the numbers drop down about a centimetre. And then again after another minute. When they get close to the bottom of the screen they go back up to the top (oh wait, they're left justified now). The minutes change independently of these positional jumps (oh I see, when the minutes change, the left/right alignment changes. Weird.)
What's this all about?
I'm missing my old clamshell Samsung (A300), which had a simple LCD on the outside of the phone with a simple display of the date and time.
Is an aesthetically-pleasing clock possible on the K700?
Or maybe there's something wrong with my phone?

your phone is working fine and normal by the sounds of it. thats what you get with all recent T, Z and now K series phones
While I respect your opinion why does it bother you so much when
a) you rarely see the clock as it only somes on when you are not using the phone and
b) if you do look at it, its only a glance to check the time and/or see if you have missed a call or message
I used a Z600 for a couple of months with the same type outer display showing time and I much prefer the K700 style as its much larger to see

But the design seems kooky to me and at odds with the the design of the rest of the user interface.
And I see the clock a lot. Either when the phone is sat here on my desk, or when it's sat on a table in a restaurant or a bar.
I just wish it had a cooler-looking screensaver that reflected the well thought out design of the rest of the phone.

This must be your first colour screen phone ! Most candybar colour phones from all manufacturers has this kind of clock screensaver for power saving purpose when in standby!! You need to get used to it mate !

So the numbers arent burnt onto the LCD screen permenantly. Just like your pc's screensaver.
Ever seen an LCD or CRT monitor with a ghost image burnt onto the screen ?

I saw one once - an old Space Invaders machine from the 70s.
Really, I thought screen-burnout was no longer an issue for modern displays?
Aren't screen-savers just for fun - serving no practical purpose?
Anyway, the clock on my Mac certainly doesn't float around the screen.
I guess the screens on mobiles are different...

elliot n: I agree. I thought that screen-burnouts was no problem nowadays.
