I guess lamination means something else for you guys?. What people do here is put a thin plastic cover on the phone and blow hot air on it so that the phone gets laminated. It really protects the phone from scratches. Isnt it safe to laminate phones in general?

Sorry I don't know what you mean. Would that stop you using the phone and stops you charging it ect.
Are you talking about a type of screen protector?

Its safe... Probably you are from India I know what you are talking about. Its called shrink-wrapping in more technical terms.
I had my older Siemens S45 laminated very well.
Now the problem is the flip geometry of the P900, the jog dial, the touch screen, the stylus slot etc. If you use yours without the flip, you may laminate it (with stylus out), then cut holes in the sheet carefully for the stylus and jog (a small hole for stylus and a cut for the jog) and then just seal the edges of those holes by blowing the hot gun sligtly (so that it does not tear off further)

The big problem is still going to be the touch screen. That would be almost useless with that lamination on.

But frankly speaking, I would like the P900 to be the way it is. Just take good care of it (save from scratches, water etc)... and it would be much better without that skin.

@Pandey, you are right. I am from India and I was talking about the shrink wrapping. I dont think it would be a easy task, but since I am so clumsy, I thought I should get it done.
