I seem to have a problem browsing the web using Opera 6.31 and a wap account.

This happens on both Fido and Rogers.

When I bring up Opera and attempt to browse the web using a wap account, the P900 connects to the web but nothing gets displayed in the Opera browser!

*IF* I setup the P900 to use internet and not wap as my connection type I can browse the web using Opera 6.31 with no problems on the Fido network.

The problem is, with Rogers they only allow wap connections and not internet connections.

If I use the built in browser of the P900 I can browse the web using wap on both Rogers and Fido with no problems.

Anyone else notice this problem?

Thanks

You can only browse the internet via an internet apn with opera, you cannot connect via a wap gateway. If fido do not have an internet apn, then you cannot use opera on that network. The default browser however, is equally as happy connecting via a wap or internet apn.

@switchbitch is right. opera does not work with wap. i use my default browser to yahoo wap mail and United flight status. Opera gives you some kind of XML error for YM & simply displays a blank screen for United.
