Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt the P800 equipped with an "automatic" alarm clock? What I mean by "automatic" is if you set an alarm and you switch off the phone, the alarm will still ring at the set time and when it does an option will appear on ur phone asking if you want to switch the phone on. I tried mine yesterday and it didnt work? Any ideas how to correct this or was I just dreaming bout this "automatic" feature?

My understanding is that when the phone is turned off, it is off; i.e. there is no automatic alarm.

God I must be hallucinating. I can swear that my phone used to be able to switch on by itself. Hmmm anyone else can confirm this feature?

if the P800 behaves the same as P900. the alarm will go off if you are in flight mode.

if the phone is off completely, then alarm will not go off. i believe someone had talked about this before.

again, i am speaking for P900. not sure if P800's firmware is different in that regard.

Ok, I've read the other post and I'm convinced that you cant get the alarm on if you switched off the phone which sucks. I have no idea where I got the impression that the phone will turn on automatically.....maybe its my old Nokia phone (just the thought that Nokia might be better than SE in this area freaks me out). Thanks to everyone

If you want to turn off the phone and still have the alarm go off, put it into flight mode. Battery consumption will also improve since the phone function is disabled, if that's your concern.
