> Website for checking imei numbers?
Bookmark topic
Having bought many phones in good faith only to find they've been blocked, I'm wondering if there is a website somewhere where I can input an IMEI number, to check if it has being blocked for any reason. Does such a site exist?
I know you can phone up operators and ask them if it's blocked, but I'm after a quick and easy web-based solution, hopefully to eliminate buying phones that have being blocked!!

Have just tried the phone and it recieved a call!
It's really frustrating when you get a phone and relise it's blocked though. Anyways, does anyone know of any site to check imei numbers? I would have thought one would have made sense, to help people buying secondhand phones not buy stolen handsets!

I've had lots of problems with blocked phones - either the seller had no idea, or conveniently 'didn't know' it was blocked. Mind you, the main problem would be getting that imei off the seller - if they were knowingly selling a blocked phone, they may either refuse to give you the imei, or give out a fake one that works.
