Any point in getting this versus a data cable for file transfer? Can this do anything the data cable can not? or vice versa? Thanks.

I enabled the com port 3 in the mobile phone monitor program to search for the phone. Com 3 is the virtual port in use for the bluetooth connection software that came with the dongle that is used to emulate a serial port. However, it can not find the phone...This is very frustrating.
