Hi guys and girls!
This is how it happend..
yesterday i went to a vodafone shop to order a new casing for my t610, but the lady that works there said to me that they could not get me one, and she gave me a whole t610 that she said didnt work (she said it got wet and wouldnt turn on), so that i could dismount it and fit the casing myself.
when i got home i flashed/debranded it, and then decided to test it, and to my suprise it worked perfectly, except for one thing. The problem is that when i make a phone call, the earpiece/speaker makes no sound at all!, although it works fine to play midis and .amr files.

(((note: this morning i went back to the shop and told her that the phone kind of works, dont anyone think that i have stolen/tricked an innocent shop attentent)))

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me:

A)how to fix it
b) what parts would i need
c)where to buy one of those special screwdrivers that i believe are called T6 or torx6??

and in general would it be worth the money/hassle, seeing as i will have to buy a battery for it.

thanx in advance!

Sounds like all it needs is a new speaker, or even the phone taking apart and the insides given a good clean with a soft brush, and a toothbrush. Some alcohol wips (something like isopropyl alcohol) may also be helpful.

Try Ebay for spare parts, or even buy (another!) phone for spares.

the ebay user china_store has a bunch (i mean a BUNCH) of spare parts.

he might have an extra speaker part (all you have to do is pull the old speaker off and stick on a new one, no soldering or anything)

you'll see what i mean once you open up your phone

You can't buy T6 torx screwdrivers at hardware stores, as they are too small and not sold there. You must get them from a supplier or from eBay. As for your earphone problem, all there people are wrong. Take it from me (as I've flashed and unlocked and unbranded many phones in my day), you need to flash the phone with the acoustics pack for your phone. This is the problem, as if it plays your ringers fine, them you don't need to replace the speaker. This message was posted from a T616

well i didnt pay anything for the phone. When i went back to the shop and said that it works (in its own way) she looked very suprised, but acted as if she already knew it would...
What is this "acustics pack"??????????
where can i get it from?????????
I have a terminator dongle so i can do it myself at any time i supose.

Thanks for all of ur help!
