(Using P900)
If I have two contacts containing the same phone number (say, for myself and my girlfriend). How does the phone decide which one to use when a call comes through?
I have a personal ringtone assigned to the contact for my girlfriend, but a call from our home phone always defaults to my contact entry, so I just get the default ringtone and no picture.
I have tried the following to no avail:
1. (Oddly) changing the phone number in my contact, replacing the prefix with ... - it STILL came up with my name and the full phone number!!
2. Deleting the entry under my name from the SIM card (in case it used the SIM order)
So, how do I force it to default to my girlfriend's entry? (oo-er!) Ideally I'd like to keep the full number under my entry so that I can easily beam my contact details to other people's devices.
Thanks

No prob with the P800, Click on to the entry and hit EDIT>Edit Contact>Show in List (allows u too choose between multiple entries)
This feature should be available for your P900 too . . .

had a similar issue when I had to change the prefix on an international number - I deleted the number and then re-entered with a changed prefix - to something completely different - and it still came up with the previous details!!
I think that the K700i looks at the last digits not the first - so i did / would suggest the following - change the last digit of your number to something else - get your g/f to ring - should come up with her pic and ring tone etc. end the call and then change the last digit of your number back - it might help and it was the only way i could sort it on mine

you may think you deleted the entry but i think P900 stores deleted entries (something like recycle bin) until next sychronization

Thanks for the tips. Have changed the preferred numbers so mine is my mobile. Will have to wait until tonight to test and try the last-digit solution.

@FriXioN
Thanks man, I did what you said and now it works, it was annoying me before. BTW I have a p900 so that feature does exist as well.
