Ok ive seen so many mentions of dentists in other threads so thought cos theres not a actual thread id create one! So as the title says is anyone really got a phobia? Myself I hate the sucking thing they put in ur mouth it really makes me wanna throw up lol what about you ppl? :-)

nah, dentists these days are far better than they used to be anyway. my dentist rubs anaethetic cream on my gum even before he puts the needle in for the full anaesthetic
I even had all my wisdom teeth out with the standard injection in the chair... no big deal at all

She purposely annoys me. When i had a tooth taken out she took her time and did it differently to when i had a different dentist.
I dont mind dentists in general and im not scared but ihate the one i have

Ive not had any teeth removed yet I hope not never! Im way past my dentist checkup I dont really wana go neither but fear I have to cos my tooth needs a filling ive noticed a small crack :-(

I guess I'm kind of scared of dentists.....
Not so much what they do - although I've so far (touchwood!) never had a filling, but did have braces when younger. That's not bad going considering was never the best at cleaning my teeth when younger, and I eat a lot of sugary stuff!
My main problem with them is the stupidly high fee they charge for a 5-minute checkup..... bring me out in cold sweats. Aaaargh, the nightmares I have of the size of those bills!

Dentists really do charge us to much mine charges me 30GBP for a checkup one time they were gonna charge me 70 pound for a filling wtf :-l my dentist is NHS aswell my mate pays less than me :-(

same here. the firt time i had it done i though i was supposed to bite down. so i bit down and the plastic thingy with all that vile stuff in it just shattered. All that mouldig stuff went to the back of my throat leaving one hell of a bad after-taste. but i havent had that in a while, thank god.
with regards to the thread.... no i'm not afraid of the dentist
