Bookmark topic
I was on the phone with someone when suddenly a reminder-alarm goes off ! I find it unbelievable that this is possible. Shouldn't an alarm be postponed untill after the phonecall, or otherwise instead of the alarm going off the phone could vibrate ? I haven't found any setting in the phone to change this annoying feature. Maybe I'm overlooking something ? Any help would be appreciated.

First of all I have a watch, so I don't need to buy one. Secondly, why would anyone buy an expensive smartphone and then not use the calender-functions ???

try a 3rd party app
i am using aquacalendar, which allows you to set individual sounds (silent, click, tone etc) for each reminder

It may be that you want an alarm to go off at a certain time as there is something important you need to do. I know when on a call 30 minutes can go very quickly. Now imagine if you missed this important thing you needed to do because the alarm failed to go off until after the call....................... I expect there may be a thread complaining that this had failed to happen!!
I think personally that the current option offers the better solution even if on the occasion you mentioned it was slightly annoying.

You have a point there. Although I still think it would be best if the reminder would be in the form of vibrating instead of a loud signal.

To suit all, there should truly be an option.
The current option is not really an option for the originator of the post.
I guess, the best way out is to give user the control of how they want it to go off
