> K700 Good Stuff! (Joystick & LED)
Bookmark topic
Some nice things to say about the K700, which I hadn't noticed anyone else bring up:
The red LED (under the power button) flashes when I get a text message, etc... although the screen lighting up tends to be more obvious!
Also, the joystick is 9-ways! - diagonal movements register in Java games and also in the service menu (>*
the T610 used to register only one click, and then nothing else until you let the joystick go.
I love this little chunky-monkey phone

Thats a good idea indeed, mean the diagonal movement. Hope se used strong material and it wont get quick weak after daily use.

I've already known about the 9-way navigation of the joystick since several months ago.

I never knew about the LED maybe they should have made it flash green when the phone is on -at least then we would know it was on!

I've checked mine and don't see a flashing red LED when a text message arrives!

Hmmm, perhaps it was for a warning or answerphone/delivery message?? Don't think it was to do with the battery low warning though... I'll check and try and find out.

Heres how to make your LED flash.
Go to the service page by tapping in from the standby screen:
> *
Then choose service tests / LED illumination.
The phone will now flash the screen on and off, the keypad on and off... and the RED led inside the power button on and off.
K700i does have a red LED !
I think the green is just the screen's backlight shining through the green-ish power button.
