does anyone know how i can play mpeg files on the p900, i have a moviemaker that converts most things but when i play back there is no sound.

I think you are a little mistaken.
MPEG files are huge and WILL NOT work on a P*00.
You need to convert to MP4 or 3GP.

i must be doing somethig wrong but it will only bring up my mp4 files it will not let me change a mpeg to a mp4.

The P800 and P900 ONLY play Mp4 files unless you install smartmovie, that will allow you to play AVI files (thats another story). Both Mpegable and PV Author convert to Mp4. Unless the MPEG file you are trying to convert is corrupted, I have run into that one before.

NO mate! It converts MPEG to MP4!!!
You can't play MPEG on a P900!
PVAuthor is "Packet Video Author".
Packet Video as in who power the video playback on the phone. IT DOES WORK I've used it many times

They also play.3GP.
