Hi,

have had no problems with phone connection manager til very recently and haven't changed anything i don't think...

i can't find the thread but someone got a reply from SE about some part of the program not being disabled properly so had to do it manually, i think its called mroute, but when i close this app the whole connection manager program closes

when i put the phone in, the usb socket it says connected but the phone icon doesn't show up

Any ideas ?

i know you said that you dont think youve changed anything... but... if you have any norton anti- virus thingys on your computer they usually have to be disabled. i had the same prob a few weeks ago (it just started randomly because ive had norton anti virus software for years) so now whenever i connect my phone to my pc i have 2 disable the software

hi, my phone is about 8 months old. I am also experiencing some connection problems between the phone and the pc.

I'm not sure if we have the same symptoms but i think (hope) my problem is a physical one where the connectors on the phone are either a bit worn out or just dirty.

I will see if some cleaning will alleviate my connection woes. Hopefully, your phone may also just have accumulated some dirt.

well its ALL fixed and doubly good now.. ish

ok what i found on my particulat pc was i removed the mobile phone connection from startup and run it manually whenever i need to, and it seems fine, so must have been conflicting with something that also runs at startup

also managed to get bluetooth working so can even sync and install files when pc is on the other side of the room ....

'however' now my phone is always connected via bluetooth to my pc, surely this would drain the batteries.. so is there a simple way to 'discconect' this whenever i want to ?

thanks
