I've tried Motorola E398 more than 5 times then I jumped into conclusion that K700 interface is much much better than E398.

K700 has a louder ringing tone, better mp3 player, better video playback, better camera (outdoor), better font type (!), better themes, better midi playback, and it has FM radio tuner.

E398 display is a little bit brighter, but it less sharp. Sharpness in K700 is much more perfect.. the pixel size is smaller than E398. It shows the black color better, but the white color is a little grayish.

I don't know if E398 has internal GPRS modem, but K700 does.

E398 cannot store SMS in phone memory anyway. Messages can only be stored at SIM Card. K700 can store more than 100 SMSes, my K700 can.

IMHO, K700 joystick is much more comfortable to use than one in E398.

The only one K700 disadvantage is that it doesn't support memory expansion.

Besides, as it states on this site:

there is no video recording on e398, only a poor video playback

In my country, K700 is just US $9 more expensive than E398.
