Hello all

Just thought I'd give a mention to the SonyEricsson central upgrade centre Celestica(Telford)Ltd.

I have no sevice point anywhere near me so I sent my T68m off for the upgrade to the head office (borrowed a friends phone for a couple of weeks just incase, Nokia6210 Ahhhh!!).

They received it on on Wednesday morning, I got it back Thursday just before lunch. Now thats what I call bloody good service.

I ensured no risk by sending RoyalMail insured special delivery at £4.50 but you could send a lot cheaper by recorded for about £1.50 if you don't want to pay for insurance.

Anyway I am well pleased with the upgrade as I still had the first software version in mine and apart from all the new bells & whistles, it has solved a few problems I had with the old software.

I highly recommend sending to Celestica if you don't have a local sercvice point.

So apart from the 4.50 special delivery you paid nothing else?

thats cool. btw did you upgrade the T68m to the T68i firmware?

ps did you call ericsoon first or just phone Celestica to sort this upgrade out?

Paid nothing else. Contacted SonyEricsson customer support first. Upgraded from first software version T68 was released with to the T68i MMS version.

Just to let you know that I had a similar experience with Celestica. They sent the phone back the same day they received it, and I had it the next day. Very impressed with the service, and an easy option for people with no SC next to them.

I used Celestica & will again for the MMS upgrade - but I did have a FOUR week wait to get my phone back - apparantly it had an 'unknown' part?? The handset was one of the first on Orange & they were re-called because they were all in Swedish (so it may have had somin to do with this) - they never did say what the 'unknown' part was though - good service when u contact them though - no faults there - plus it's free - so can't complain

It's been a long time since anyone posted in this thread, but I'd just like to say you can have your T68(i) firmware updated in Northern Ireland. The Carphone Warehouse in Arthur Square, Belfast, will do it free of charge if the phone is within warranty.
