Hi,

I'm on o2 and have not been able to send SMS over GPRS - I don't think they support it. I know it can be done on Orange but apparently the messages are billed as normal SMS rather than at GPRS data rates. They do send faster though.

Their is a java app called mobiSMS, but does not seem to work with t610,they reckon it's some sort of bug in the fone. Basically when u register via java app it won't let u av enough digits 4 ur fone number. Any1 else actually got it workin at all,on any other fone? There's meant to b an updated version which will work on t610.(so must b the app not the fone then) :-D This message was posted from a T610

Shame 02 don't allow it. 02 seem to be really slow at keeping up with the mobile market lately. Not only have they changed there prices but nothing network wise is been done. 02 could really make some money by offering stuff other networks don't. This message was posted from a T300

A little off subject, when sending sms I get an error message saying "phone number not recognised, saved in unsent" I've double checked the mobile numbers and my sevice center number and they are all correct, I do recieve sms messages but can't send them. this started happening yesterday. I'm on o2 online 500, in the UK.

Anyone got any ideas what s wrong?

Cheers

I spoke to O2 about this a year ago and they have no plans to support it. They're a bit behind the times..
