Firstly, nice 2 meet you all...
Something 2 share with u guys here...
I have always been thinking about a question - Why there r so many consumers who go for very high end mobile phones or so called smart phones/symbian phones? Good examples will b the P800, P900, K700, or the Motorola's smart phones...
Many ppl look for the phones' functions, specs and some complain or even ask for better quality for next models on various forums~
Isn't tht there r so many PDA-phones(esp. Hewlett Packard) in the market?
As u know PDA-phone is function-wised and has lots of memory(expanded or built-in one)~~Morover the price r juz as similar 2 those symbian phones!
WHY don't they go for such PDA-Phones? (thousands of whys)
Do u know why is this happening?

One thing that ppl want today is integrated services. Why having 2 devices when u can have one? Of course, this 1 device might be a bit limited but this is what u trade for having an integrated szstem.we tend to think simple and that\s why operators launch all kinds of combined packages...it"s in the same trend.

because for some reason it seems easier to accept that companies who started off with making phones have evolved into intergrating moderate PDA's into their devices that vice versa. The idea of Microsoft making phones that work doesn't sit well with me.
I know a couple of years back there was some research doen on the quality of the phone part in PDA's and the conclusion was that customers are generally better off buying a cellular phone to do their calling on. Mind you, this was quite some time ago so I cannot remember who did the research and which devices were tested, but all in all, somebody who needs a PDA specifically may often be looking for just the PDA and not necessarrily a phone, even if it's included.
People that buy 'smartphones' are people that do want the phone capabilities, and good working phone capabilities at that (and traditional functions like SMS, which are still being used on ALL cellphones), but apart from that they want their phone to store a diary, retrieve money from and ATM and be able to launch rockets
A bot of a generalisation of course, but I strongly believe we're talking about different types of users.
